These patches are thick, well made, and adorable. They made my grandson happy when I applied them to his denim shorts. Id didn't take the time to sew them on by hand, however, and I wish I would have. Because the patches were in places that made them impossible to sew on by machine; i.e., back pockets. I used the standard procedure for ironing them: High heat, no steam, pressing for 10-15 seconds, etc., but after the first washing and drying (cool water, medium dryer heat), the patches started to peel.I will certainly not be sending them back. After all, they are adorable and a great bargain. Plus, I've rarely (perhaps never) found an applique patch that doesn't need a few stitches in order to withstand the washer/dryer process.
