I’ve been running this mask for few months now. Works great only thing I wish it had was easy to change foam. But you can alway glue some foam in. I wear glasses and the mask is great for that also. Also I wish it came with a clear lense but I picked one up and swapped it out.Just got done playing a tourney with this mask, which was my very first experience with it.. it did amazing. I upgraded from an old dye i4 which fit my small head nicely but has 0 breathing room in my opinion. This Vio Contour 2 mask gave me more breathing room than I expected, with ventilation everywhere and it sits a bit away from your mouth whereas the dye i4 was all up in my business. The rubber is also sick which I now prefer over an all hard plastic mask. It also sits on my nose nicely and isn’t too heavy. Oh and the VIO lens is arguably the best out right now.Overall great mask, it’s pricey but I definitely see myself wearing it for a long timeThis mask is a huge upgrade from what I was using before. It forms to the face pretty well, and it very well vented. I never have any issue with this fogging up. Well worth the money!!!All virtue masks have this weird hard plastic over the ears that pushes into your skull when they’re on. If you look in the mirror, it also sticks about an inch further from your head. Not a fan whatsoever. For this review, let me start off by saying that my other mask experience up until this time has been with a vforce grill. Both of these masks are pretty low profile and have some of the same features, so I will do a comparison between the two. For starters, I really like how the Vio XS feels on my face. The foam is a bit smoother, but it also seems to put more of the pressure on my forehead as apposed to putting it on the area below my eyes like with the grill. Both masks provide an excellent field of vision with the XS providing a slightly extended view when looking down. Breathability is probably where I notice the greatest difference between the two. Both masks have very good venting, the difference is the that the grill starts right in front of the wearer's mouth, while the XS is shaped so that there is a noticeable pocket of air between the mask and the person wearing it. This allows for more airflow and a cooling effect. However, the rubber used in the facemask for the XS does seem slightly less flexible than what is used with the Grill, possibly allowing for more bounces. As far as coverage goes, as mentioned before, both masks do offer a fairly low profile, but I will say that the grill does provide slightly more coverage along the jaw line. One final thought is that the hinge locks on the Vio are pretty difficult to use at first. The system itself is pretty simple, but nothing beats the grill as far as being able to quickly change the lens between games.I have the crystal ice version of the XS and I have to say that out of all the pictures I could find online, the one here shows the color the most accurately.I love this Goggles a lot super lightweight and breathable great for hearing everybody across the field and also great in projecting your voice. Also mine came with the PRO Pad which is awesome because I thought that only the Contour II came with it… I recommend this GogglesMask fits much like an i4, so if your face was too big for i4 maybe get the extended version.Pros: Breathability! Really appreciate the airflow through the face of the mask. One of the best masks for summer time.Small annoyances or comparative things I would like to see improvement on. Tightness to the face. I appreciated on the i4s how close the mask was to my face, which for me makes it feel less like I have a mask on and more like its just and extension of my face. The VIOs will sit off the face a centimeter or two further than i4s. Which my nose wasn't snug in the mask, even though i had it tightened down all the way, I'm 5'8", 175. Because that fit wasn't snug I would see breath accumulation on the inside of the lens instead of the air being forced out through the ventiliation. And that also gave the mask a bit of a loose feel on my face, not so much I was concerned it would come off. But like i stated before one of the things I like in a mask is that it feels like an extension of your face, not something hanging on your face. The foam in the mask is very comfortable and there are many options for the mask so you add parts & pieces.Field of view is one of the best, if not the best one I've worn in 14yrs, definitely on par with the i4.The colors on this specific mask, in the gold/black are really more of a mustard color, the lens which looks like a gold mirror is just a tinted lens, not gold mirror.I absolutely love these goggles.PRO:- I have zero interior reflection (a bit of light can shine in from the top vents, but it hasn't been an issue for me).- They're very comfortable and I have no problem wearing them all day. I often just keep my mask on/down between matches without issues.- They offer great protection, The only time I had an issue was when I was hit dead center in front of my upper lip at about 15 feet away; the paint spray didn't feel great.- I have never had any issues with fogging be it indoors, outdoors in a field or out in the woods.- I can hear and be heard by other people with high qualities goggles. There may be issues with folks using lower end goggle systems, but that would be the case regardless.- I'm not a real heavy breather, but when things start moving I never feel as though I'm out of breath due to the mask.- Stays in place and feels secure when no attachments are added (such as a camera).- The wide variety of styles and color combinations and lenses is phenomenal.CON:- No easy way to affix a removable goPro mount on the side.- I wish the strap was a little wider, got tighter, or could split in two for an added feel of security when mounting a camera.I tried the Dye i4, and found the protection to be a bit small (the Dye i5 is better than the i4) and I had reflection issues on the inside.
