I have tried a variety of hydrocolloid acne patches and for whatever reason these Tristar patches don't work as well as any of the others. I don't want to take off too many stars for that, because the question of whether a hydrocolloid patch will work at all hinges on the nature of the blemish (needs to be near the surface), and it could be that the blemishes I have subjected to these Tristar patches have been too deep to work with any hydrocolloid patch.I looked into the nature of hydrocolloid in general, and it seems like any hydrocolloid should be as effective as any other hydrocolloid in terms of drawing out moisture, but my experience has been that these Tristar patches underperform in terms of drawing out moisture. You do get 24 patches of various sizes, as indicated in the product description. I didn't have any problem peeling the patches from the backing. The patches stick well to my skin and stay on for at least several hours. I accidently left one on for a whole day, so points for adherence to skin and being hard to detect.Hydrocolloid is the only ingredient of these Tristar patches. Some patches also include some acne-fighting ingredients, like salicylic acid, but not so with these Tristar patches.
