I bought 3 of these bar stools for my kitchen countertop area. They are excellent in every way.First, there is the excellent fit and finish. I chose the real maple wood seat, in a medium finish to blend with my cherry cabinets, and the black wrinkle steel frame. Stunning! There are many other options to choose from.Second, there is the build quality. These stools are built like a rock. They weigh 27 pounds and are very stable. The Holland web site says they support up to 350 pounds, which is about 100 pounds more than other stools I have researched. The seat swivels easily and smoothly.Third, there is the easy assembly. It only requires that you secure the top to the bottom using 4 bolts. Once I got the right tools, I assembled 3 chairs in less than an hour. This compares very favorably to the previous bar stools I assembled, which took an hour per stool. To be candid, I had difficulty before I got the right tools because the space is tight. What you need is a Husky 7/16” combination wrench SAE (593 781) available from Home Depot for about $5. With the Husky on the bottom and a ratchet wrench on the top, assembly is easy.Fourth, there is the price. I paid $194 per stool, which is an excellent price given the high quality.Fifth, and last, is the origin. Holland Bar Stools are made in Holland, Michigan, in the good old USA.
